Mission statement

The Institute for Research on Public Expenditure aims to improve the regularity, efficiency, effectiveness and integrity with which the State and its associated bodies operate, through economic research for the public sector. Therefore, the results of its cost, budget, effectiveness and efficiency research, as well as its accumulated experience, are communicated to both target and/or funding authority; most of which are governmental authorities. Through these working practices the Institute for Research on Public Expenditure tries to contribute to sound public and lower level administration through cooperation and knowledge exchange. The Institute for Research on Public Expenditure employs eleven co-workers (researchers / advisors).
